"The Hound of the Baskervilles" (en anglais) adapté du roman de Arthur Conan
Doyle.

Ce spectacle est proposé aux scolaires par la compagnie "Théâtre en Anglais".

Nous avions étudié le script en classe afin de faciliter la compréhension de
la pièce par les élèves.

Voici leurs impressions...in english

Charles-Alexandre, Pubudu, Gabriel and Steven :

“This play was very good but sometimes I couldn’t understand the sentences. The beginning of the play was a bit boring”.
“The play was very funny. It was hard for the actors because they were only four”.
“I liked the special effects”.
“This play was OK because I think that the actors were very good but I didn’t like the story”.

Thibalt, Selim, Hanafi and Yaoni :

“We liked this play because we understood everything but there were not a lot of settings and we saw the actors change the settings. The actors were only four but they could play many characters and they walked into the audience”.

Chloé, Anna, Viviane and Rosalie :

Today we saw a play about Sherlock Holmes’s adventures. Its name is “The Hound of the Baskervilles”. It is a good play. We believed this play was boring but at the end it was funny and we had a good time. The actors played their parts very well. It was a very nice experience !

Jules, Andréas, Joseph and Pierre-Corentin :

“Sir Henry Baskerville is coming to London because his uncle, Sir Charles Baskerville was assassinated, like his ancestor, Sir Hugo Baskerville. He is coming to see Sherlock Holmes because he is the only one who can investigate this case.”

Marina, Neya, Mathilde and Sofia :

“The play was good. We understood it because the actors spoke slowly. It was very funny !”
Elisa, Juliette, Aliénor and Daphné :
“We liked this play because the actors were very good. They were only four but they played a lot of characters. The staging and the settings were great but we didn’t understand everything. We enjoyed when the hound was shot because we were surprised by the sound and the sparkles.”

Naïda, Lou, Mia and Marine :

“The story is about a legend in which a hound kills people. A man called Stapleton uses this legend to kill the Baskervilles’ descendants. So he causes Sir Charles Baskerville’s death to inherit his fortune. But Sir Henry is the last descendant of the family and he isn’t dead ! So Stapleton wants to kill him too. Sherlock Holmes investigates Sir Charles’s murder and he discovers the truth : Stapleton is a Baskerville !”

Valentin, Aurélien, Thomas and Ethan :

“This morning we saw a play at the Alhambra theatre. The play was “The Hound of the Baskervilles”.
We liked this play but sometimes we didn’t understand some words. The setting was fun. Sometimes the play was scary. We also liked it because there were only four actors for many parts.”
